What is the Hyaluron Pen treatment?
The Hyaluron is a needle-less devices that uses pressure to place the hyaluronic acid dermal filler into the upper dermis layer of the skin. Essentially the Hyaluron Pen is a different technique used to place dermal fillers into the skin and is less invasive than traditional needle technique. The Hyaluron Pen is a great option for someone new to dermal fillers or someone with previously injected filler.
What is the benefit to doing the Hyaluron Pen treatment?
The benefit of using the Hyaluron Pen leave the lips hydrated and provides a natural or very plump pout (depending on your own personal goals) without the pain of a hypodermic needle and is also a more affordable option! The pen is able to define/plump lips and fill/smooth facial wrinkles giving a more youthful hydrated appearance.
How old do I have to be to get filler?
You must be 18 years older.
What product do you inject in the lips?
We use a cross-linked hyaluronic acid dermal filler. Our choice of filler is non animal based and non animal derived so essentially it's vegan!
What is hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid is a natural sugar substance that our bodies natural produce. Hyaluronic acid binds to the water in our body which helps create volume and provides moisture in the skin tissue.
Can I get filler if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
As a safety precaution we do not perform filler on pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Does it hurt?
The pain is very minimal if any at all and majority of the fillers I used contain Lidocaine so you will slowly become numb. Most of my clients are shocked to feel little to no pain. I do carry topical numbing if it is absolutely needed to help make clients feel more comfortable.
Can you perform the Hyaluron Pen with previously injected filler?
Most of the time! If the filler is firm or migrated I typically recommend dissolving first. But in most cases I am able to work of previously placed filler. It is always best to know the brand of filler you received prior.
How many syringes are needed?
I am unable to determine how many syringes a person will need since everyone's body is unique, everyone has different natural anatomy and everyone's goals very. I am happy to book a consult discuss specific lip goals.
How long does the filler last?
Results can last 3-9 months depending on how quick your own body metabolizes the hyaluronic acid. Everyone's body is unique and will break it down at a different rate. I have some clients I see every 2 months for a touch up to maintain and I have some clients I see once a year for a touch up, it just varies from each person. Staying hydrated and following pre and post treatment instructions will be longevity.
Will my lips get big?
We always start out more natural. It takes a good amount of filler to get them large. I personally believe in gradual growth over time is safe growth and easing my clients into their lip filler journey is best. Rule of thumb it's always easier to add more than to take away.
Can I have an allergic reaction?
Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in our bodies so risk of reaction is very rare to the filler since our bodies already produce it. Some clients can experience an allergic reaction but it is typically caused from the Lidocaine in the filler. If you have any allergies to Lidocaine or numbing agents please let your Artist know prior so we can use a non lidocaine filler.
