What is Lip Blush Tattoo?
Lip Blush is a semi permanent cosmetic tattoo and can be used in conjunction to filler to help enhance the lip shape and color.
What is the benefit of Lip Blush?
Lip blushing adds a pop of color to your lips. It covers scars and hypo pigmentation and restores color back into pale lips. It does give the illusion to make lips appear fuller or larger. Lip blush also helps define your lip shape. Lip Blush eliminates daily use of lipstick/lip liner and provides an effortless make up look
How old do I have to be to get Lip Blush Tattoo?
You must be 18 years older.
Can I get Lip Blush if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
As a safety precaution we do not perform filler on pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Does Lip Blushing hurt?
Lip Blushing is essentially a tattoo on your lips. However, we do numb your lip prior and throughout the treatment for your comfort.
Is Lip Blush like lipstick?
No, immediately after treatment the pigment will appear as dark as lipstick but through healing your pigment will fade 60%, leaving you with a powdery tint.
How long does Lip Blush last?
Lip Blushing can last 1-5 years depending on the pigment used. However, our lips do naturally exfoliate which does cause the pigment to fade over time. Final results cannot be guaranteed as each unique skin type holds pigment differently and can break down at different rates. Lip Blushing is a MULTIPLE treatment service. We will re-evaluate how your skin held pigment at your Perfecting Visit and can make can color adjustments if necessary. Since everyone heals different if your cosmetic tattoo does not heal perfect the first time we can always go bolder at your next appointment.
How often is a touch up needed?
Lip Blushing requires frequent touch ups compared to other semi permanent cosmetic tattoos and this is due to the fact that the lips naturally exfoliate, the lips are vascular and the body metabolizes the lip pigment at a rapid rate compared to other body parts. It is recommended to maintain your Lip Blush with annual touch up's.
What should I do before and after the treatment?
Upon booking please review "Pre & Post Care Guide" in your consent form. It is highly recommend to follow these instructions to ensure comfortable and safe healing.
How will my lips look immediately after?
Your lips will be swollen for the first 3-5 days after treatment. The degree of swelling does vary from person to person. The color will appear darker like lipstick but through healing it will fade 60% into a powdery tint. Immediately after treatment and through the first week your lips might feel like they have a sunburn, dry, chapped, tender to touch and tight. Each day your lips will slowly feel better.
How long is the healing process?
The full healing period can take 4-6 weeks. The first 1-2 weeks you might experience moderate swelling, scabbing and peeling (DO NOT PICK). Through the healing period the pigment may appear spotty or patchy the full pigment will take the 4-6 weeks to be fully healed. Keep in mind if they did not heal perfectly we can always asses at your Perfecting Visit.
